Next year S Insurance will be 10 years. As part of our continued commitment to serve our partners and clients we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new board of directors. Their collective experience and knowledge will ensure our continued growth, development and relevance into the next decade.

Nils-Petter Sivertsen – Chairman of the Board
Nils-Petter is a highly experienced and effective leader with background from the Shipping industry, Shipbroking, Shipyard operations and the oil service industry. Previous positions held included being the CEO of TCO Group, President & CO of JO Tankers AS, Director at FMC
Technologies and VP of Rolls-Royce Marine.
Nils-Petter is a strong communicator with specific competencies in building robust organisations with people that provide a relevant service for their clients and partners.
Geirmund Sangedal – Board Member
Geirmund is the founder of S Insurance with over 20 years of experience within the marine insurance market based in London, Scandinavia and Singapore. Geirmund currently holds the role as Director of Capacity Management and is the majority shareholder.
Stine Sofie Grindheim Simonsen – Board Member
Stine Sofie is an enthusiastic innovator and enabler of FinTech solutions with 10 years’ experience from DNB Bank ASA where she worked both in Markets and Corporate Banking. Stine Sofie is currently the CEO of Dealflow one of the largest platforms in Norway for crowdfunding.
Stine Sofie is a member of the finance expert area of the Bergen Chamber of Commerce, and previously held positions as board member of FinTech Norway, and Union of Norwegian Crowdfunding.
Toril Eidesvik – Board Member
Toril has a master’s degree in law, specialising within maritime law. Toril has over 20-year executive experience within the shipping and ship-supply industry including CEO of several stock listed companies. Previous positions held included being CEO in Nekkar ASA (former TTS Group), EMS Seven Seas ASA, and Green Reefers ASA.
Toril brings an excellent understanding of governance including audit and legal matters in both a Norwegian and International context from various board positions.
We look forward to working alongside such professionally strong and experienced board members. They provide us with important strategic expertise in several key areas, says Managing Director Engelsen Hals.
The new S Insurance board held its first meeting on Thursday 23rd of May 2024.
